The American Heart Association is on a mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.  R&R Insurance is a proud sponsor of the AHA's 2020 Heart and Stroke Ball taking place on February 15.  Leading the charge as this year's Chairman is R&R Owner, Jack Riesch. Wear Red, Tune In, and Donate

New this year, the WTMJ 620AM Community Cares program is highlighting stories of local people the American Heart Association has helped in recent years.  Tune in to hear "Stories of the Heart".

Culminating on February 7, national "Go Red Day", is a radiothon to raise money for the American Heart Association.  Hosted by Gene Mueller and special guest, Jack Riesch. 

The goal: raise $640,000 for research, programming, and services to help save lives and improve patient care.

While we’ve witnessed major medical and scientific advances, we cannot continue to allow this to be a trend.  Not for ourselves.  Not for our children.

R&R Insurance Owner, Jack Riesch, literally takes this to heart with a grandfather who passed away from a heart attack.  For him, the risk is real.  An accident left a younger brother a quadriplegic; his youngest brother passed away at 29 from esophageal cancer, and his brother-in-law who didn't make it home from Afghanistan. Jack knows all too well that life can change in an instant.  He is now passionate about providing resources for everyone to make improvements today for better tomorrows.

Why the American Heart Association?  "Walking my daughter down the aisle is WHY. Seeing my son get his diploma is WHY. Celebrating my next wedding anniversary is WHY.", reflects Riesch.

Paying closer attention to his own health in recent years with a regular exercise routine and eating a healthy diet, Jack is walking-the-walk already.  And now it's time to pay it forward by advocating for others to change their health outcomes.  Not only helping others to add more years to their life, but more life in their years.

With a unanimous vote, R&R's Michelle Froehlke was voted to a position on Progress Lakeshore's Board of Directors.  "We anticipate [Michelle's] skills and experience will be an asset to our Board", Executive Director Peter Wills.

Joining R&R as a Commercial Insurance Consultant, Tim Jensen has over 24 years of experience in the insurance industry, including claims adjusting, litigation management, and underwriting. With a Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Marty College in Yankton South Dakota, Tim specializes in manufacturing, healthcare, and contracting risks.

With a background in management, finance, and accounting, Shane Vercauteren will be expanding R&R’s services in Northeast Wisconsin as a Commercial Insurance Consultant. Specializing in transportation and auto, Shane has a degree in Business and Marketing from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.

As a Commercial Account Executive, Sherilyn Smith brings over 15 years of insurance experience to R&R. Specializing in underwriting, she has extensive experience in litigation management, excess, and workers compensation. Sherilyn has a Bachelor’s Degree from Ursuline College in Nursing and Paramedicine.

Winners were announced (in small, medium, large, and non-profit categories) at an Awards Gala, hosted by the Waukesha County Business Alliance, Waukesha County, and the Waukesha County Center for Growth.

R&R's foursome (Tom McInerny, Mike Payne, Dan Maurer and Mike Harrison) won the Chubb Charity Challenge Golf Outing and will advance to the finals in support of the Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation. The foursome competed against teams from across the area as part of the 20th annual charity golf tournament.

Launched in 1996, the Chubb Charity Challenge invites agents, brokers and clients to golf in regional tournaments hosted by local Chubb branches. Competing on behalf of their selected charities, the winning foursome from each regional tournament advances to the finals tournament which will be held this September 22-25 at The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin, where dozens of teams from across North America will compete for their portion of a nearly $1 million purse for their charity of choice.

Between 2000 and 2018, more than 5,200 teams have participated in the Chubb Charity Challenge, raising nearly $16 million for charity collectively, including more than $900,000 in 2018.

“Celebrating our 20^th year, the Chubb Charity Challenge remains committed to playing golf with a purpose. Participants play for causes dear to our hearts within the communities where we work and serve,” said Chris Maleno, Division President, Chubb North America Field Operations. “Together with our network of brokers and agents throughout North America, we continue to build stronger connections within our communities, and becoming better neighbors.”

The Spirit of Service Award, formerly known as the President’s Award, was established by the YMCA Board of Directors to honor individuals who have significantly impacted the Y, exemplify the Y's mission, and have provided outstanding leadership throughout the community. In the history of any successful organization, select individuals create positive change so that organizations can rise to new levels of service.

R&R's, Rick Kalscheuer, not only benefited from the Y while growing up at West Suburban, he has given his time, talent, and treasure to ensure there is a strong Y presence in the greater Waukesha County area for years to come. Rick started on the YMCA board in Waukesha in 1995, serving on many committees such as finance, fundraising, and board development. Rick was involved in developing the organizational model with the addition of the Mukwonago Y and also provided keen insight in the 2014 Y acquisition process that significantly expanded our community reach. Rick is concluding his two year leadership role as Chief Volunteer Officer and has done a tremendous job of positioning the Y for continued growth and prosperity. He also serves on the YMCA Foundation Board and has been a great Y ambassador in his many community service and board activities.

Rick and Colleen have been married for 39 years and live near Hartland. They have three adult children, Ryan, Andy, and Annie. They are active in the community; Waukesha County Business Alliance, where Rick chairs the education committee and is part of the Manufacturing Alliance Executive Council; Lake Country Rotary (Rick is a past president); and St Charles Catholic Church. Rick loves to golf at Oconomowoc Golf Club (past president) when time and Colleen allow. They can often be seen walking their golden retriever in the Lake Country. Rick celebrated 30 years at R&R this year - leading our Municipality Division and assisting clients in the Manufacturing and Healthcare space.

He has been a significant leader in the history and success of the YMCA. Congratulations to, Rick!

Jeff has more than 29 years of insurance industry experience leading and managing insurance operations, agency relationships, claims operations and underwriting management.  Most recently, Jeff lead the claim department for a leading insurance carrier and its’ three subsidiary organizations, overseeing claims and litigation in all 50 states. With diverse functional and executive experience, his specialized knowledge includes the education, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, non-profit and real estate industries.

 “Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to R&R,” states Ken Riesch, Owner & President of R&R Insurance Services. “We are incredibly excited to have Jeff assist in strategic development, improving efficiencies, providing value to customers, and strengthening the overall operations of R&R.”
