What motivated you to become an insurance professional?
Upon graduation form UW-Platteville with a degree in Industry / Occupational Safety, OSHA was still in its infancy. As a result, the insurance industry primarily the large national companies - were in the process of establishing trainee programs in an effort to capitalize on using safety consulting services as not only a risk selection tool, but also as a marketing wedge for large customers.
What do you love most about your work?
Over the past 40 years, I have never repeated the same day twice.
What has been your biggest success in the past year?
Retiring from West Bend Mutual after successfully starting a monoline workers compensation division for them 7 years prior.
How do you help your customers overcome their challenges?
Identifying and developing ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
What did you wake up excited about today?
Knowing that what I was doing today was probably not exactly something I did in the past.
What are you most looking forward to with your work in the year to come?
Juggling and finding the right mixture of concepts that can be used to make R&R uniquely different from its competitors.
