What motivated you to become an insurance professional?
I went to school for accounting and was seeking a new job. Applied at R&R Insurance in 1987 and started in January of 1988. The insurance industry was not a goal, but I loved the place and the people, so I just grew up and into the business.
What do you love most about your work?
Helping people understand their employee benefits and options. Insurance is a complicated and confusing industry. I love it when I've just completed an open-enrollment meeting and employees provide me with positive feedback that they NOW understand all this deductible and coinsurance stuff!
What has been your biggest success in the past year?
Earning the top sales award for the second year in a row!
How do you help your customers overcome their challenges?
By working side-by-side with our customers and becoming an integral part of their management teams, we are able to design benefit options that are affordable and provide value that their employees can see and feel.
What did you wake up excited about today?
Working out! I love my early morning work-outs and my gym-rat buddies who help keep me accountable and consistently showing up most every day.
I also loves anything with an engine...my husband and I are motorcycle enthusiasts and try to get a ride in each nice weekend.
What are you most looking forward to with your work in the year to come?
Helping our customers learn about all of the resources our agency offers. Whether it is a new Benefit Administration offering, medical plan Captives as an option, or our Risk Management Center; I just love all of the value-added services and options our agency has made the commitments to make available.
